FAIRVIEW, TEXAS (Wise County).
Fairview is at the intersection of Farm roads 407 and 2264, southeast of Decatur in southeastern Wise County. In the 1930s highway maps showed a church and cemetery, a school, and scattered dwellings at the site. The community had a church and school for many years and was incorporated in 1973. The first population figure for Fairview was 180 in 1980. By the early 1990s the population was 206.
