Donna Marie Mathes and Gary Wayne Alexander were married in a western, double ring ceremony May 26, 2001, at the First Baptist Church of Springtown.
Daniel White, nephew of the bride, officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dorothy L. Mathes of Boyd and the late C.D. Mathes. She wore her father’s pocket watch in his memory.
The groom is the son of James A. Alexander of Harrison, Ark. and Wanda R. Burritt of Forney.
The bride was escorted by her brother, Donald Mathes of Boyd. The altar was a saddle borrowed from Bob Ruffin.
Matron of honor was Debbie Johnson of Carrollton, sister of the groom.
Best man was Jeremy Morse of Rockwall, nephew of the groom.
Ushers were Dale Mathes, brother of the bride and Jonathan Morse, nephew of the groom.
The bride is a graduate of Springtown High School and the University of Texas at Arlington. She is employed at Poco Graphite, Inc. in Decatur.
The groom is a licensed plumber with Reed Plumbing Company in Carrollton.

Amador - Lauryn Susanne Wolfe and Francisco Amador Jr.
Marriage vows to be exchanged March 31, 2001
Lauryn Susanne Wolfe, daughter of Troy and Michelle Wolfe of Decatur will marry Francisco Amador, Jr., son of Francisco and Anna Amador of Decatur March 31, 2001, at Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur.
The Deacon Art Casillas will officiate.
The bride-elect is a teller at First American Bank in Decatur.
The prospective groom is a 2000 graduate of Weatherford College. He is a salesman at James Wood Motors.

Amador (2) - Mr. and Mrs. Francisco Amador Jr.
Marriage vows exchanged March 31, 2001
Lauryn Susanne Wolfe, daughter of Troy and Michelle Wolfe of Decatur and Francisco Amador Jr., son of Francisco and Anna Amador of Decatur, were married March 31, 2001.
Deacon Art Casias officiated the double ring ceremony at the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a white, V-neck gown with a fitted bodice adorned with Venice lace sleeves. The gown had a full skirt adorned with appliquéd tulle overlay and a cathedral length train. She also wore a beaded crown with a grand cathedral veil. She carried a bouquet of white, ivory and golden cream antique roses.
Maid of honor was Leslie Wolfe of Decatur, the bride’s sister.
Bridesmaids were Alexandra Vess, cousin of the bride and Michelle Davidson, both of Boyd and Kelly Denti of Keller. They wore gold sleeveless satin tops accented with black and gold corded trim and black A-line skirts with an organza overlay. They carried bouquets of plum, wine, mauve and golden cream roses.
The flower girl was Bailey Berry of Decatur. The cushion carrier was Cassidy Bennett of Arlington, cousin of the bride.
Candlelighters were Clarissa Cantu, cousin of the groom and Claudia Castillo, both of Decatur.
Ringbearer was Homero Amador Jr., cousin of the groom.
Best man was Alfredo Amador of Decatur, the groom’s brother. Groomsmen were Jesus Flores of Decatur, cousin of the groom, Ted Qualls of Denton and Donato Lopez of Decatur.
Ushers were Jonathan Ross of Decatur and Sergio Amador Jr., cousin of the groom.
Guest book attendant was Vianey Cantu of Decatur. Harpists were Carmelina Holloway, Shirley Watson and Margaret Atkinson, all of Decatur.
Following the ceremony, a reception, given by the parents of the bride and groom, was held at the Denton Civic Center.
Following a wedding trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, the couple live in Decatur.

Pastor Dan Green will officiate the ceremony at Victory Family Church in Decatur.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Arlington Career Institute and is employed at the national headquarters of the Boy Scouts of America.
The prospective groom is employed at BroadBand Now. He served two years in the U.S. Navy.

Baird (2) - Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Charles Baird II
Marriage vows exchanged Oct. 27, 2001
Nicole Dea Patrick and Thomas Charles Baird II were married Oct. 27, 2001, at Victory Family Church in Decatur.
The Rev. Dan Green of Alvord Community Church performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of James and Paula Patrick of Alvord. The groom is the son of Bill and Barbara Baird of Alvord.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore a formal chapel length ivory A-line silk gown, embroidered with silver beading and gold threading. Accenting her gown was a waist-length veil of ivory tulle, held by a pearl and silver tiara.
Maids of honor were Crystal Vardas and Angie Vaughn of Wichita Falls. The bridesmaid was Lauren Patrick of Alvord, sister of the bride.
Flower girls were Erin Patrick, youngest sister of the bride, and Rachel McGregor, niece of the groom.
Best man was Brad Cannon of Alvord. Groomsmen were Brandon Reed of Fort Worth and Brent Hancock of Tomball.
Ushers were Brandon Bradford and Junior Gillespie of Alvord.
Guest book attendant was Martha McGregor, sister of the groom.
A buffet reception followed the ceremony at The Club at Runaway Bay where guests danced to music provided by Junior Gillespie. The groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at K-Bob’s on the eve of the wedding.
Following a wedding trip to Italy, the couple resides in Irving.
The bride is employed at the National Headquarters of Boy Scouts of America.
The groom is employed by Broad Band Now.

Angel Beth Karr, daughter of Gary and Tammy Karr of Azle, will marry Randall Shaun Barrow, son of Randy and Freda Barrow of Fort Worth, on Saturday, July 7, 2001, at Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Fort Worth.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Fred and Margie Pickerell of Boyd.

Erin Elaine Buchanan, daughter of Ann and Tommy Welch of Bowie and Steve and Suzanne Buchanan of Runaway Bay, will marry John William Bean, son of Pam and Michael Spore of Fort Worth and William and Donna Bean of Alvord, Oct. 27, 2001, at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens.
The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Decatur High School. The prospective groom is a 1998 Alvord High School graduate.

Marriage vows exchanged Oct. 27, 2001
Erin Buchanan and John Bean of Fort Worth were married Oct. 27, 2001, at the Botanic Gardens’ Fuller Garden Gazebo in Fort Worth. The Rev. Katherine Weikel officiated the double ring ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Tom and Ann Welch of Bowie. The groom’s parents are Mike and Pam Spore of Fort Worth and Willie and Donna Bean of Alvord.
Grandparents of the couple are Marian Beam and the late H. Carter Beam of Beaumount, Hazel Reed of Bowie, Patty and Don Johnson of Fairbanks, Alaska, Bill Bean of Decatur and Bryan and Shirley Wasson of Bowie.
The bride was escorted by her brother, Daniel Buchanan, of Bowie. The wedding gown, made by the groom’s mother, was floor length, fashioned of bridal satin overlayed in re-embroidered lace and accented with bead trim. The bodice featured leg of mutton sleeves and a square neckline. The bride’s veil of bridal illusion fell from a halo of tiny flowers. She carried a bouquet of red roses and purple orchids, accented with green fern.
Maid of honor was Bridget Cameron of Bridgeport. Bridesmaid was Tara Townsend, the groom’s sister, of Alvord. They wore deep purple dresses with empire waistlines and scoop necks, accented with sheer capes that flowed into bell sleeves. They carried small bouquets of red roses and purple orchids accented with green fern.
Best man was Bill Arrant of Decatur. Groomsman was Daniel Buchanan, brother of the bride, of Bowie.
A reception, given by the bride’s parents, followed the ceremony at the Botanic Gardens’ Red Bud Hall.
The bride is a 1997 Decatur High School graduate and the groom is a 1998 Alvord High School graduate. The couple live in Fort Worth.

Beaver - Stacey Parkinson and Clayton Beaver
Marriage vows to be exchanged Aug. 5, 2001
Stacey Parkinson, daughter of Bill and Pam Parkinson of Crafton will marry Clayton Beaver, son of Claude and Cindy Beaver of Crafton, Aug. 5, 2001, at the Bowie Community Room.

Beckham - Mr. and Mrs. Royce Beckham
Fiftieth wedding anniversary March 17, 2001
Royce and Adele Beckham of Greenwood will celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary March 17, 2001.
Beckham and the former Adele Alexander were married March 17, 1951, in Pittsburgh, Texas.
They have four children, Donny Beckham of Irving, Kim Beckham of Tyler, Rick Beckham of Mesquite and Tracey Oney of Greenwood. They also have nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He is retired from the U.S. Post Office and is a bus driver for Slidell Independent School District.
She is a homemaker.
They are both members of the Greenwood Baptist Church.

Bond - Mrs. Michael Lynn Bond

Marriage vows exchanged Dec. 16, 2000
Lindsay Michelle Hunt, daughter of Kenneth and Lillie Hunt of Decatur and Michael Lynn Bond of Fort Worth, son of Howard and Barbara Bond of Wake Village, were married Dec. 16, 2000, at First United Methodist Church in Decatur. Dr. Rusty Hedges officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride was escorted by her father.
She wore a white satin A-line dress. The embroidered bodice was adorned with seed pearls and featured cap sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. Pearls accented the cathedral-length train. The tulle veil was trimmed with white satin ribbon and attached to a pearl comb. She wore her mother’s pearl drop necklace.
The bride carried a fresh bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath tied with gold trimmed illusion ribbon. Handkerchiefs belonging to the bride’s grandmothers were tucked in the bouquet.
Matron of honor was Meradith Culpepper of Decatur, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Alisa Campbell of San Antonio, Gabby Carrillo and Cheryl Loftis, both of Arlington and Bita Yousefi of Houston.
They wore hunter green floor-length dresses with empire waists and short sleeves. They carried bouquets of red roses with baby’s breath tied with gold ribbon.
Candlelighters were Amber Davidson of Dallas and Ashlee Davidson of Lubbock.
Best man was Howard Bond of Wake Village, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Eddie Bond of Wake Village, brother of the groom, Jason Culpepper of Decatur and Doug Bowers and David Murphy, both of Wake Village.
Ushers were Todd McGuire of Conroe and David Rosenbaum of Decatur.

The groom is a graduate of Southern Arkansas University and the University of Houston School of Optometry. He is an optometrist at First Eye Care in Fort Worth.

Shannon Michelle Evans of Fort Worth, daughter of Ron and Dorothy Evans of Fort Worth, will marry John J. Branch of Decatur, son of Kenneth and Susan Branch of Arlington and the late Mercedes Branch, Nov. 10, 2001, at 6 p.m. at Handley Baptist Church in Fort Worth. The Revs. Andy Addis of Handley Baptist Church and Daryl Crouch of Community Baptist Church in Decatur will officiate.
The bride-elect is a 1993 graduate of Eastern Hills High School and graduated magna cum laude from Texas Wesleyan University in 1997 with a bachelors degree in psychology and business. She is employed by Dental One Incorporated.
The prospective groom is the grandson of J.R. and Flora Branch of Decatur. He is a 1989 graduate of Slidell High School and received a bachelors degree in criminal justice from East Texas State University in 1993. He is employed by Federal Express.

Shannon Michelle Evans of Fort Worth and John J. Branch of Decatur were married in a double ring ceremony Nov. 10, 2001. The Revs. Daryl Crouch and Andy Addis officiated the ceremony at Handley Baptist Church in Fort Worth.
The bride is the daughter of Ron and Dorothy Evans of Fort Worth. The groom is the son of Kenneth and Susan Branch of Arlington and the late Mercedes Branch.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a sheath gown with a tank style bodice embellished with Venise lace appliqués. Her detachable train cascaded down in layers of fine organza. Delicate rosettes graced the top of the train which attached at the base of the scoop back. She carried a cascading bouquet of pink stargazers, white calla lilies, stephanotis, roses and Queen Anne’s lace. The bouquet was arranged on a white New Testament carried by the bride’s mother at her wedding.
Matron of honor was Erica Gambrell of Northport, Ala. Bridesmatrons were Catherine Husby of Grapevine, Rachelle Gammon of Indianapolis, Ind. and Pamela Peterson of Fort Worth.
The flower girl was Madison Bodiford, daughter of Troy and Rhonda Bodiford of Fort Worth.
The ringbearer was Reilly Branch, son of Claudio and Michelle Branch of Arlington.
Best man was Claudio Branch of Arlington, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Daniel Wainscott of Dallas, Gerald Springer of Decatur and Randy Lewis of Boyd.

The bride-elect is a student at the University of North Texas and plans to graduate in August 2002. The future bride-groom is a graduate of Texas Tech University and is employed with the Texas Cooperative Extension Office in Wise County.

Jessica Marie Cox, daughter of Kelton and Loma Cox of Paris, will marry William Marshall Brooks, son of Jerry and Barbara Brooks of Decatur, June 2, 2001, at Lakewood Baptist Church in Ponderly. The Rev. John Griswood will officiate.
The bride-elect graduated from home school. She attended Oklahoma Baptist College and is employed by the Texas Department of Transportation.
The prospective groom is a 1998 graduate of Decatur High School. He attends Oklahoma Baptist College and is employed at O’Reily’s Ozark Automotive Distribution Center.

Jessica Marie Cox, daughter of Kelton and Loma Cox of Paris and William Marshall Brooks, son of Jerry and Barbara Brooks of Decatur, were married June 2, 2001 at Lakewood Baptist church in Powderly. Rev. John Griswood officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride was escorted by her father. She word a gown of white satin with a bodice overlayed with lace and pearls.The train had cutouts of lace and pearls and her headpiece was a halo made of rosebuds and pearls.
She carried a bouquet of fresh cut spring flowers.
Maid of honor was Stephanie Cox, sister of the bride, of Paris. Bridesmaids were Rachael Griswood and Emily Griswood both of Paris and Melissa Stastny, sister of the groom, of Slidell. They wore periwinkle blue floor length dresses with chiffon overlay of the skirts, satin cumberbun waists and sheer short sleeves of chiffon and satin trim.
Best man was Jerry Brooks, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Joshua Brooks, brother of the groom, of Decatur, Adam Vermillion, cousin of the groom, of Longview and Greg Wood of Bridgeport.
Flower girls were Sara Beth Ralston of Paris and Cassia Douglas. Abby Griswood and Stasia Story, both of Paris were candlelighters and also served as guest book attendants. The ringbearer was Brock Garrison of Paris. Ushers were Damien Booth of Paris, Stuart Brooks, brother of the groom, Phillip Brooks, uncle of the groom of Decatur and Craig Stastny, brother-in-law of the groom of Slidell.
Violinist was Sarah Griswood of Paris, pianist was Shanda Boswell of Paris and soloist was Nancy Jackson of Paris.
A reception at the church followed the ceremony given by the brides parents.
The bride attended Oklahoma Baptist College and Institute. The groom is a senior at Oklahoma Baptist College and Institute and is employed at O’Riely Ozark Automotive Distribution Center.
Following a honeymoon in Branson, Mo. the couple will reside in Bethany, Okla.

The bride-elect is a 1995 graduate of Keller High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of North Texas with a bachelor of arts degree in human resources. She is employed by Spherion in Dallas.

Amber Lewis, daughter of Jack and Janine Lewis of Arlington, and Sean Buckley of Houston, son of Susan and Glenn Buckley of Magnolia were married March 31, 2001, at the First United Methodist Church in Arlington. Dr. Scott Youngblood officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the granddaughter of Leona Spain of Decatur and the late J.Z. Spain.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a beaded chantilly lace sheath dress. The empire bodice was white silk crepe with a straight neckline adorned with crystals. The long veil was adorned with crystals and pearls and flowed into a small sweep train.
She carried a bouquet of white and bright yellow spring flowers.
Matrons of honor were Becka Madonna of Seattle, Wash and Samantha Lollar of Coppell. Bridesmatrons were Shelly Lewis-Stanfield of Seward, Alaska, Jami Bourdo of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Amber Clowe of Dallas. Bridesmaids were Erin Welch of Dallas and Tonya Buckley, sister of the groom, of Magnolia.
They wore deep purple satin dresses with lavender sashes that tied in the back and trailed on the floor.
The best man was Mac McLean of Tuscaloosa, Ala. Groomsmen were Christopher Vasallo of Austin, Lance Lewis, brother of the bride, of Dallas, Nicholas Brunick of Austin, Aries Lollaro of Coppell, Duncan Clowe of Dallas and Scott Bourdo of Scottsdale.
Usher was Alberto Santos III of Dallas. Liturgist was Angela Williams of Euless.

The bride graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University in 1997. She is self employed.
The groom graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in English from Auburn University in 1997. He received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. He is a partner with the firm of Hahern, O’Neil and Buckley.

The bride-elect will graduate from Paradise High School this year and plans to attend a junior college in the fall.

The bride is the daughter of James and Sally Florian of Decatur. The groom is the son of Gavin and Mary Callinan of Whittier.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Lillie Rubin gown. She carried a bouquet of white avalanche roses.
Bridesmaids were Melinda Florian, sister of the bride, of San Antonio and Kathryn Sellars, cousin of the bride, of San Diego, Calif. They wore red, floral Ann Taylor slip dresses and carried small bouquets of white avalanche roses.
Groomsmen were Greg Callinan and Tom Callinan, brothers of the groom of Whittier.
The usher was Jason Florian of Waco, brother of the bride.
An outdoor reception was held at the groom’s parents home.
Following a wedding trip to Laguna Beach, Calif., the couple live in Austin.
The bride received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University in 1996 and a Master of Arts degree from Northern Arizona University in 1999. She is a research analyst at Seton Healthcare Network.
The groom received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at San Diego in 1992. He is an accountant at SJI.

Nancy Jane Rolandson and George Kendall Carpenter, both of Rhome will be united in a double ring ceremony March 10, 2001, at Abbercromby Penthouse Suites in Decatur.
The bride is the daughter of Rita Hestand of Wylie and Marion Duckworth of Garland. The groom is the son of Carol Carpenter of Lewisville and Eddie Carpenter of Pollock, La.

The bride was escorted by her father . She wore a strapless matte satin organza Jacquelin bridal gown which had a Venice lace bodice beaded with pearls and sequins. The skirt was appliquéd with Venice lace and pearls flowing into a long train in back finished off with a satin border around the edges. Her solid pearl and sequin headband was connected to an elbow length veil, accented with randomly placed pearls.
She carried a cascading bouquet of white roses, white dendrobium orchids, casa blanca lilies, stephanotis, Italian ruscus, porcelina roses and tree fern accented with pearls.
Maid of honor was Chelsey Christian of Decatur, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Alison Taylor of Houston, Courtney Potts of Denton and Shelby Owens and Lana Fennell, both of Decatur.
The bride’s attendants wore iridescent pink strapless silk shantung gowns gathered across the bodice and accented with a rosette pin at the top. The fitted skirts were accented by a slight off-centered train trailing on the left side. They carried cascading bouquets of hot pink Gerber daisies, tropical Amazon orange roses, hot pink roses, Italian ruscus, stargazer lilies, pink carnations and calycina heather.
Best man was Kory Chapman of Decatur, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Jeremy Davis, Jimmy Walker, Andy Mattison and Brian Christian, brother of the bride, all of Decatur.
The flower girl was Caroline Lowery of Decatur, cousin of the bride. She wore an organza pink and white tea length dress adorned with a white sash at the back. The ring bearer was Tyler Story of Decatur. Ushers were Colby Williams, cousin of the bride, Mark Ary, Jake Williamson, Chris Mattison, cousin of the bride and John Coker, all of Decatur.

Doyle and the former Louise Womack were married April 23, 1951, at Rosen Heights Baptist Church in Fort Worth.
They have three children, Pamela and her husband Tom Marsh of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Mickey and his wife Leigh Ann Doyle of Decatur and Rick and his wife Belinda Doyle of Abilene.
They also have seven grandchildren.
He was a Manufacturing engineer for Bell Textron, is a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur and is a Wise Regional Health Systems Auxiliary volunteer.
She was a teacher/administrator for the Fort Worth Independent School District, and is a member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur and a Wise Regional Health Systems Auxiliary volunteer. She is also a member of the Retired Teachers Association and Delta Kappa Gamma.

The Revs. Lee Roy Jackson and Louis Horton officiated the double ring ceremony at Immanuel Baptist Church in Decatur.
Escorted by her parents, the bride wore an Oleg Cassini gown in satin, with short cap sleeves, a fully beaded A-line skirt and a scoop neckline. The gown had elaborate hand beaded lace detailing the entire dress and the chapel length train. The headpiece, a silk illusion, fingertip length bunwrap matched the lace and beading of the dress.
She carried pink and burgundy roses.
Maid of honor was Michelle Haynes of Decatur. Bridesmaids were Lauren Harding of Benchley, cousin of the bride and Kim Robinson of Chico. Bridesmatron was Summer Fernihough of Southlake. They wore floor-length burgundy satin, sleeveless gowns with a back bow cutout. Their flowers were a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet, accented with creme roses.
Candlelighters were Gerald Haynes of Decatur, cousin of the bride and Daniel Fernihough of Southlake, cousin of the groom.
The best man was Chris Fernihough of Decatur, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Chas Hoke of Decatur, Matt Dyer of Bawtry, England and Russell Sims of Decatur, brother of the bride.
Ushers were Michael Fernihough of Colorado, David and Drew Fernihough of Lubbock, all cousins of the groom.

The bride was escorted by her father and her step-father. She wore a white Battenburg lace, pearl and sequin dress with open lace and sequin short sleeves, a V-neck and a scooped back adorned with a cathedral length appliquéd train. Her headpiece, made by her step-mother, was a pearl beaded headband with an elbow-length double layered chiffon veil with pearls and sequins. She carried a traditional bouquet of white roses accented with lace and ribbons from her mother’s wedding bouquet.
Maid of honor was Delaina Pierce, the bride’s aunt. Bridesmatron was Rhonette Fisher, sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Lindsey Thomas, the bride’s cousin, and Ashlea Castleberry. They wore deep purple, floor-length taffeta gowns and carried bouquets of white and lilac roses.
Flower girls were Ellie Pierce and Bailey Pierce, cousins of the bride, and Kaitlyn Dunn, the groom’s niece.
Ringbearer was Casey Dunn of Springtown, nephew of the groom.

Hall, Billy - Halls to celebrate 50th anniversary
Billy Eugene and Betty Acker Hall of Mesquite will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 24, noon to 5:30 p.m. at the Boyd Community Center.
The event will also celebrate the 87th birthday of Billy Hall’s mother, Naomi Hall of Belton, Mo. Naomi Hall lived in Boyd for many years where she owned a cafe and beauty shop. She is the widow of Red Hall, a former mayor of Boyd.
Billy Eugene Hall and the former Betty Acker were married on June 9, 1951, in Forest Hill. The bride’s father, the Rev. D.E. Acker married the couple. They have two sons, David E. Hall and wife Nancy of Dallas and Britton Hall and wife Angie. They also have seven grandchildren.
Hall is retired from Trammell Crow in Dallas and Betty Hall is retired from the Area Agency on Aging, where she served a 14-county area as a nursing home ombudsman.
The come-and-go celebration June 24 will include a catered lunch at noon. Guests are asked not to bring gifts.

Marianne Hinshaw and Mark Wilson Lee, both of Denton were united in a double ring ceremony Jan. 6, 2001, at The Little Chapel in the Woods on the Texas Woman’s University campus in Denton. Ryan Morrison of the Decatur Church of Christ officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Wayne Hinshaw of Denton and the late Joan Hinshaw. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Lee of Round Rock and Betty Lee of Dallas.
The bride was escorted by her uncle, Jerry Hinshaw of Stephenville.
She wore a floor-length ivory crepe and satin overlaid, A-line gown with a cathedral-length train. The sleeveless bodice featured a V-neckline and was adorned with small pearls and sequins. The elbow-length tulle veil was also fashioned with small pearls, crystals and sequins.
She carried a cascading fresh bouquet of deep burgundy roses, cream colored roses, pink snapdragons, pink stock and bright pink and cream orchids. A small glass bluebird, which was used in her mother’s wedding bouquet, was placed in the bride’s bouquet.
Maid of honor was Juliet Goodwin of Bedford.
Bridesmaids were Thea Woodruff of Austin and Kati Willis of Carrollton. They wore floor-length, off-the-shoulder, deep burgundy dresses. They carried matching scarves and one long-stemmed ivory colored rose with rose-colored stock tied together with ribbon.
Junior bridesmaid was Hannah Hinshaw, niece of the bride and daughter of Vincent and Tommie Hinshaw of Paradise.
Flower girl was Brooke Bancroft, daughter of Jennifer Hulcher of Denton.
Candlelighters were Maureen Bonner of North Richland Hills and Eric Vincent of Decatur, cousin of the bride.

The couple included a unity candle in their ceremony. Ginger Hinshaw of Denton, sister-in-law of the bride, lit a candle representing the bride’s side of the family. The groom’s uncle, Clayton ‘Bud’ Stokes of Annapolis, Md. lit the candle representing the groom’s family.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Raddison Hotel and Golf Resort in Denton.
A rehearsal dinner was held the night before the wedding at The Texican Grill in Denton.
Following a wedding trip to San Antonio and Fredricks-burg, the couple live in Denton.
The bride is a 1989 graduate of Decatur High School and a 1996 graduate of Texas Woman’s University in Denton with a bachelor of arts degree in mass communications. She is employed at Hulcher Services Inc. in Denton.
The groom graduated from high school in Muskogee, Okla. in 1985 and from the University of Texas in Arlington in 1992 with a bachelor of arts degree in government and politics. He graduated from the University of North Texas in December of 2000 with a masters degree in biology, with emphasis in forensics. He served in the Coast Guard Reserves from 1985 until 1992. He also served with the Army from 1992 until 1995. He is employed at the University of North Texas in Denton.

They have seven children, C.J. Peterson and his wife, Beverly, of Alvord, Charlotte Ward of Mt. Ayr, Iowa, David Lott of Kansas City, Mo., Antoinette Bettis of Lebanon, Ill., Brigette Hess and husband, Brandon, of Phoenix, Ariz., Larry Peterson of San Antonio and Charlie Lott of Decatur.
