Audra Misner-Smith, daughter of David and Jean Smith, all of Rhome will marry Andy Anderson of Decatur, son of Raymond “Andy” Anderson of Fort Worth and Deborah Reynolds of Garland, on Nov. 3, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church in Decatur. Jim Spencer of Plano will officiate.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Northwest High School and Tarrant County College with a double associate’s degree in fire protection systems and fire investigation technology. She is attending Columbia College of Missouri, completing a bachelor’s degree in business adminstration with a minor in management.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Paradise High School and Weatherford College. He attended Texas Christian University where he studied farm and ranch management. He is employed by Southlake Police Department. He is the president of Southlake Police Officer’s Association, the Texas Law Enforcement Canine Association, United Working Dog Association, State Firemen’s and Fire Marshals Association and is a state commisssioned police officer and firefighter.

Fiftieth wedding anniversary June 29, 2007
A.C. and Joyce Archer of Paradise will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, with a reception at the Paradise Intermediate School cafeteria hosted by their children. Guests are invited to the come-and-go event which will feature live music by the Ellis County Bluegrass Band.
A.C. Archer and the former Joyce Wilson were married June 29, 1957, in Durant, Okla.
They have three children, Dwight and Vinessa Archer and Dwayne and Donna Archer, all of Bridgeport, and David and Mendy Archer of Paradise; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A.C. retired from Bell Helicopter. Joyce is a retired hairdresser. They are members of the Balsora Baptist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Jane Bielamowicz of Coppell. She is a sophomore at the University of North Texas in Denton.
The groom is the son of Roxanne Arnal of Decatur and Jim and Paige Arnal of Nashville, Tenn. He served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Paraguay and is a sophomore at UNT.

Forrest and Dorothy Bailey of Boyd will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary May 3, 2007, with their family.
Forrest Bailey of Grapevine, and the former Dorothy Amyett of Fort Worth were married May 3, 1947, in Grapevine.
They have children, Gaylon Bailey and Donna Robinson of Southlake, and Paula Eggar and husband, Doug, of Boyd; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Forrest is retired from Rector Well Equipment Company. Dorothy is a homemaker. They moved to Boyd 10 years ago from Southlake.

Dr. Joy Annalee Martin of Azle and Edward Fleming Bate III of Arlington were married April 28, 2007, in a sunset ceremony at the Pink Shell Beach Resort in Fort Myers Beach, Fla.
The bride is the daughter of Vivian and Charles Martin Jr. of Rhome and the granddaughter of Charles and LaVerne Martin of Fort Worth and Arlin and Dorothy Blocker of Colleyville.
The groom is the son of Terese and Edward Bate Jr. of Bloomington, Minn., and the grandson of Anne Warzyn of Kansas City, Mo.
Maid of honor was Staci Austin of North Richland Hills, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaid was Jonna Martin of Rhome, niece of the bride.
Best man was Scott Newby of Madison, Wis., brother-in-law of the groom.
The bride graduated from Northwest High School in 1994 as salutatorian of her class and earned a bachelor of science degree in biomedical engineering from Tulane University in 1998. She participated in a dual doctorate program at the University of Houston and the University of California at Berkeley, where she earned a doctoral degree in optometry in 2003 and a Ph.D. in vision science and physiological optics in 2006. She practices optometry in the Fort Worth area and is continuing vision research.
The groom earned a bachelor of science degree in aeronautical sciences from the University of North Dakota in 1993. He is a captain for American Eagle Airline and is based in Chicago.
A reception will be hosted by the bride’s parents at Aurora Baptist Church June 9.
Following a honeymoon trip to Key West, Fla., and a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands, the couple live in Azle.

Carolyn Nicole ‘Niki’ Holland of Dallas and Richard Michael Carman of Decatur were married Dec. 9, 2006, at Denton Bible Church in Denton. Paul Polk officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dana and Lance Holland of Midland. She is the granddaughter of Bessie and Harding Collins and Georgia Holland, all of Midland.
The groom is the son of Richard A. Carman of Seattle, Wash., and Paula Carman of Decatur. He is the grandson of Warren Stogner of Decatur.
The bride wore a strapless white gown adorned with a band of seed pearls on the bodice and hemline. Her headpiece was a veil of silk illusion with scattered pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses bound with blue satin ribbon.
Matron of honor was Jessica Wright. Bridesmaids were Jill Wagnon, Brecon Nichols, Erin Harris and Hayley Holland, sister of the bride. Honor attendants wore black floor-length gowns and carried bouquets of blue hydrangeas.
Best man was Brent Bowen. Groomsmen were Warren Stogner, grandfather of the groom, Rick A. Carman, father of the groom, Jim Stephens, Grant Gassiott and Randy Koonce.
The usher was Dan Holland, brother of the bride. Christina Hudlow and Stuart Smith provided music and sang. Lisa Lloyd read scripture for the ceremony.
A reception hosted by the couple’s parents followed the ceremony at the church.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Southern Methodist Universty where she earned degrees in engineering and math. She is employed by Ministry Consultants as a project manager in Dallas.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and is pursuing a master’s degree in theology at Dallas Theological Seminary. He is an intern at Denton Bible Church in Denton.
Following a honeymoon trip to Disney World, the couple reside in Denton.

Willie Cole and the former Jessie Hardee were married Sept. 6, 1947, in Decatur.
They have two children, Sammy Cole and Clyde Cole and wife, Lisa, all of Greenwood; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Willie is retired from the U.S. Navy. They are both members of the Disabled American Veterans and the Church of Christ in Greenwood.

Endres - Bob and Betty Endres
Sixtieth wedding anniversary Feb. 11, 2007
Bob and Betty Endres of Clifton, formerly of Alvord, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, Feb. 11, with their family in Clifton.
Bob Endres and the former Betty Chase were married Feb. 5, 1947, in Oklahoma City.
The couple has four children, Kathy Endres, of Waco, Doris Flora and Greg Endres, both of Alvord, and Marshall Endres of Decatur.
Bob sold tractors and farm machinery, retired from the Army reserve and was a member of the Wise County Veterans Group. Betty is a homemaker and helped establish the Alvord library. She was head volunteer librarian for three years.
They were members of the First United Methodist Church in Alvord.

Jessica Allen Decker of Decatur and Chad Ryan Evans of Brownwood were married June 16, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Brownwood. The Rev. Raymond Johns with Cornerstone Baptist Church in Decatur officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ricky and Judy Stutt of Decatur and the late James Allen Decker.
The groom is the son of Laura Christopher and Rick and Cindy Evans, all of Brownwood.
Escorted by her brothers, Fred Jones and Ben Decker and her stepfather, Ricky Stutt, the bride wore an A-line, strapless white satin gown with a dropped waist and full, inverted pleat skirt. It featured a chapel-length train and was tied with a satin ribbon and crystal broach. Her headpiece was a cathedral-length veil with a blusher. She carried a hand-tied round bouquet of pale pink roses tied with white satin ribbon.
Matrons of honor were Jennifer Erickson of Decatur and Jill Rivera of Fort Worth, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Dana Jones of Bridgeport, sister-in-law of the bride, Amber Kirbie of Paradise, cousin of the bride, and Jenny St. John and Melinda Stover, both of Decatur and stepsisters of the bride.
Honor attendants wore tea-length chocolate brown satin dresses with a tulle overlay. They carried hand-tied bouquets of pale pink roses and green hydrangeas, tied with brown ribbon.
Flower girls were Mariah and Maci Kirbie of Paradise, cousins of the bride, daughters of Mark and Amber Kirbie, and Kalie and Breanna Stover, nieces of the bride, daughters of Melinda Stover.
Ringbearers were Brody and Brac Jones of Bridgeport, nephews of the bride, sons of Fred and Dana Jones.
Candlelighters were Bryce Stover and Brett Bean, both of Decatur and nephews of the bride.
Best men were Chris Evans and Payton Christopher, both of Brownwood and brothers of the groom. Groomsmen were Clint Dempsey of College Station, Joe Stewardson of Abilene, J.T. Gerald of Dallas and Corey Crawford of Brownwood.
Ushers were Curt Warner and Jake Warner, cousins of the bride, and Chris Stutt, stepbrother of the bride, all of Decatur, and Chad Valdez, Lee Droemer, cousin of the groom, and Stephen Christoper, stepbrother of the groom, all of Dallas.
Guest book attendant was Jamie Tackel of Decatur. Scripture readers were Karen Warner, aunt of the bride, and Leslie Lee and Lexi Droemer, cousins of the groom. Pianist was Ann Slaymaker of Brownwood. Vocalist was Trina Medillan of San Angelo and violinist was Joey Pitts of Bridgeport.
A reception followed the ceremony at the Brownwood Country Club. Servers were Donna Hill of Davis, Okla., aunt of the bride and Debbie Wheeler of Brownwood.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Decatur High School. She also graduated from Ogle Cosmetology College. She is employed by Hair by Connie.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Brownwood High School. He also graduated from Angelo State University. He is employed by the United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service.
Following a honeymoon trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple live in Pecos.

The bride is the daughter of Gene and Robin Melton of Runaway Bay. She is the granddaughter of Diane Lochridge of Burkburnett, and Ida Melton Kell and Jim Bentley, both of Electra.
The groom is the son of Bob and Judi Conger of Runaway Bay and Dan Smalley of Fort Worth. He is the grandson of Roy and Gerry Ballew of Springtown and Raby and Verna Smalley of Gatesville.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white satin wedding gown with a strapless fitted bodice and gathered layers creating a ball gown silhouette. An apple red satin ribbon adorned her waist with a cascading bow. Her tiara and fingertip cathedral veil were accented with Swarovski crystals.
She carried a bouquet of red roses and white calla lilies, adorned with white pearls. Black tulle attached the pearl earrings of both her mother and grandmother, worn during their own weddings.
Bridesmaids were Jeanne Mallas of St. Paul, Minn., Kristi Tilton of College Station, Veronica McDuff of Electra and Stacy Smalley of Stephenville.
They wore strapless two piece dresses in apple red satin with coordinating white satin sashes.
Groomsmen were Scott Man and Brandon Kennedy, both of Bridgeport, Vernon Johnson of Memphis, Tenn., and Joey Schmidt of Tallahassee, Fla.
Ringbearers were Thaine and Cale Lasser of College Station.
Ushers were Brandon McMahon and Blair Phillips, both of Dallas, Bobby Conger of Weatherford and Matt Melton of Runaway Bay.
Music was provided by Karen McGraw and the groom’s mother sang the song “At Last”.
A candlelit reception followed the ceremony at the Bridgeport Country Club.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the home of Roy and Lou Ann Stewart.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Bridgeport High School and a December 2004 magna cum laude graduate of Midwestern State University with a bachelor’s degree in English. She is an executive assistant and community relations specialist for the city of Bridgeport.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Bridgeport High School and a 2007 graduate of Texas A&M University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in finance. He is employed as project superintendent for Mann Made Homes in Bridgeport.
Following a honeymoon at the Grand Palladium Resort on the Mayan River, the couple reside in Runaway Bay.

They were married July 13, 1947, in Decatur by Elmer Taylor.
Their children are Ronnie Hale and wife, Tonya, Connie Redwine and husband, Tony, and Glenda Terrell and husband, Rodney.
Their grandchildren are Steven Terrell and wife, Jennifer, Rusty Terrell and wife, Amber, Cody Hale and wife, Misty, Cheyenne Redwine, Laramie Redwine, Casey Hale and Taylor Fullingim and great-grandchildren, Reid and Gage Terrell and Tyler Hale and Zane Terrell.
Joe retired from Mitchell Energy, now Devon and Berniece retired from the Decatur schools cafeterias.

Sixty-fifth wedding anniversary July 25, 2007
J.L. and Jewel Hesteande of Decatur celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary July 25, 2007.
They were married July 25, 1942, in Gainesville.
Their children are Keith Hesteande, Arlena Cude and husband, Melton, and Darlena Hoyl and husband, Randall, all of Decatur.
They have four grandchildren, Elizabeth Rubio of Austin and Amy and David Cude and Leslieann Hoyl, all of Decatur.
J.L. was born in Sycamore, Texas and Jewel was born in Duncan, Okla. but moved to Texas with her parents Louie and Mamie Byford in 1937. He worked on farms before serving in the U.S. Army during World War II and in the artilery in Germany from 1944 to 1946. After he returned, he worked for Convair in Fort Worth as a stock clerk until June 2, 1951. While he was there, he completed the the Wise County Vocational School in 1950. After leaving Convair, he began building houses as a carpenter and contractor and continues to do so at 82 years of age.
Jewel stayed at his side as a wife, mother and homemaker. She also worked with him as a painter and sold Avon for 12 years. She enjoys quilting.
J.L. is a member of Slidell Baptist Church and Jewel was a member of the former Bell Baptist Church in Decatur.

She received a bachelor’s degree in English and psychology from Austin College in Sherman, where she was a member of the Kappa Gamma Chi sorority and a little sister of the Drake fraternity. She receieved a master’s of social work from Washington University in St. Louis and is currently attending law school at the University of Texas School of Law.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of Mansfield High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in physics from Austin College, where he was a member of the Drake fraternity and a sweetheart of the Kappa Gamma Chi sorority. He received bachelor and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Washington University. He is a research engineer at the Institute for Advanced Technology at the University of Texas.
Following a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple reside in Austin.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Slidell High School and is employed by Integra Care as a home health attendant.
The prospective groom is a 2002 Boyd High School graduate and is employed by the City of Denton Water Department.

Cassie Kay Green and Clayton Wayne Lisby, both of Boyd, were married Aug. 24, 2007, at A&M Gardens in Azle. Kevin Cafey of the Lifehouse Church in Decatur officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Debbie Green of Decatur.
The groom is the son of the late Linda Lisby and Harold and Dana Lisby of Boyd.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white strapless satin gown that featured a corseted bodice with beading and metallic lace trim, tulle pickup skirt and chapel-length train. Her headpiece was a silver tiara that featured crystals and pearls. She also wore a white teardrop veil with scalloped edges with a blusher.
She carried a bouquet of hot pink and light green flowers.
Matron of honor was Ashley Brockman of Denton. Bridesmaids were Megan Green of Decatur, sister of the bride, and Samantha Cathey and Kara Rogers, both of Boyd. They wore tea-length halter dresses in white and hot pink. They carried bouquets of mixed hot pink and light green flowers.
Flower girl was Lexi Lambert of Boyd, cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Brylan Peebles of Boyd.
Best man was Rusty Rice of Boyd. Groomsmen were Russell Peebles and Mark Lambert Jr., both of Boyd, and Thomas Lambert of Decatur.
Stephanie Liedell of McKinney, and Candi Chapman of Boyd, both cousins of the groom, served at the reception at A&M Gardens.
The bride graduated from Slidell High School in 2004. She is employed by Integracare Home Health.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Boyd High School. He is employed by the city of Denton and is a member of the Boyd Volunteer Fire Department.
Following a honeymoon trip to Whitesboro, the couple live in Boyd.

Rodney and CeCe Lisby of Decatur will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the Decatur Civic Center.
Rodney Lisby and the former Cece Fulfer were married Dec. 4, 1957 in Love County, Okla.
The couple has three children, Rowdy Lisby and wife, Lou Ann, Lisa Caraway and husband, Gary, and Laurie Hodges and husband, Chris, all of Decatur; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Rodney is retired from Bell Helicopter and owns Wise Trucking. CeCe is a Realtor with Parker Properties.
