Sandra Michelle Moyers of Charleston, S.C., daughter of Jim and Debra Moyers of Bridgeport, will marry Jay T. Manoushagian of Patuxent River, Md., son of Buck and Dana Manoushagian and Elana Bailey and Mike Cruciger, all of Bridgeport, Feb. 25, 2007, in Decatur. The Rev. Alan Ramsey of Fellowship Church in Knoxville, Tenn., will officiate.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Karns High School in Knoxville and attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She is works for the U.S. Air Force.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Bridgeport High School and attended the University of North Texas. He is employed by the Department of Public Safety, Law Enforcement branch with the U.S. Navy.

Manoushagian (2) - Mr. and Mrs. Joshua T Manoushagian
Vows exchanged Feb. 25, 2007
Sandy Michelle Moyers of Charleston Air Force Base in South Carolina and Joshua T Manoushagian of Patuxent River, Md., were married Feb. 25, 2007, at the Decatur Civic Center. The Rev. Alan Ramsey of Knoxville, Tenn., officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Debbie Moyers of Bridgeport.
The groom is the son of Buck and Dana Manoushagian, and Elana Bailey and Mike Cruciger, all of Bridgeport.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless satin A-line gown with beaded metallic embroidery on the bodice and a split-back chapel train. She carried a bouquet of “black magic” roses.
Matron of honor was Laura Cathleen (Catie) Moyers of Bridgeport, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Michelle Neff and Lori Ross. The bride’s honor attendants wore black satin strapless gowns with a contrasting white sash at the waist. They carried bouquets of red and white roses.
Best man was Buck Manoushagian of Bridgeport, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Jeremiah Mohr and Eric Bryant.
Flower girls were Madison and Abigail Ramsey, daughters of Alan and Diane Ramsey of Knoxville; Abigail and Savannah Whisenant, daughters of Travis and April Whisenant of Lampasas; and Camdyn Leidel, daughter of Johnny and Stephanie Leidel of McKinney. The flower girls wore white tea-length dresses with black sashes.
Ushers were Davis Manoushagian, brother of the groom, and Wes Bailey and Andy Manoushagian, cousins of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Decatur Civic Center hosted by the parents of the bride and groom.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Bridgeport Country Club.
The bride attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She is serving in the U.S. Air Force.
The groom attended the University of North Texas in Denton. He is serving in the U.S. Navy.
The couple took a wedding trip to the Great Smoky Mountains in North Carolina.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Margaret Beery of Fair Oaks Ranch and Paul and Vernelle Richter of San Antonio. She is a 2002 graduate of Smithson Valley High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in family and consumer sciences education from Texas Tech University in 2006. She is a student in the Texas Tech University Health Science Center nursing program.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Melvin and Jannie Meadows of Paradise and George and Maxine Martin of Abilene. He is a 2000 graduate of Paradise High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in agricultural communications from Texas Tech University in 2004. He is employed as regional sales manager for United Pump Supply in San Antonio.

Jennifer Marie Richter and Brad Ryan Martin were married April 28, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church in Boerne. Minister Paul Evans officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Duane Richter and Carolyn Richter of San Antonio. She is the granddaughter of Margaret Beery of Fair Oaks Ranch and Paul and Vernelle Richter of San Antonio.
The groom is the son of Davis and Deloris Martin of Paradise. He is the grandson of George and Maxine Martin of Abilene and Melvin and Jannie Meadows of Paradise.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white satin, strapless, A-line gown accented by champagne pearls and embroidery on the bodice, skirt and chapel-length train. She wore an elbow-length veil with pearls attached by a pearl and crystal headpiece.
She carried a bouquet of white roses and purple hydrangeas.
Maid of honor was Kristin Richter of San Antonio, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jana Hamby of Justin, sister of the groom, Mary Mazdra of Beaumont, Cassie Fuller of New Braunfels, Amanda Poe of Bedford and Kristy Hoffman of San Antonio.
The attendants wore satin, mystic purple, halter tops with encrusted beads on the straps and tissue tafetta ballgown skirts with tacking in the front and back. Each carried a bouquet of white and purple roses.
Flower girls were Jenna Noble of Fair Oaks Ranch, cousin of the bride, and Danae Meadows of Paradise, cousin of the groom.
Best man was Josh Deal of Comanche. Groomsmen were Travis Hamby of Justin, brother-in-law of the groom, Byron Kennedy, Jerod Foster , cousin of the groom, and Bobby Sowder, all of Lubbock, and Drew Taylor of Plainview.
Ringbearers were Dustin Meadows of Paradise, cousin of the groom, and Mason McCoy of Marble Falls, cousin of the bride.
Ushers were Conch Berry of Denver, Colo., cousin of the bride, and Seth Foster of Paradise, cousin of the groom.
A reception followed the ceremony at the Fair Oaks Country Club.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Smithson Valley High School. She earned a bachelor of science degree in family and consumer sciences education from Texas Tech Univeristy in 2006. She is a student in the Texas Tech Univeristy Health Science Center nursing program.

Following a honeymoon cruise to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, the couple reside in San Antonio.

Richard and Ethel Martinez celebrated their twentieth wedding anniversary with an informal gathering June 2 at their home in Boyd.
They were married June 2, 1987, at the home of Richard’s parents in Hale Center.
Their children are Monica and J.R. Haller of Godley, Daniel Nugent, Rachel Martinez and Amanda and Tim Gomez of Haltom City.
They have eight granchildren, April, Jordan and Breanna Haller; Michael Nugent; Alan, Anthony and Chris Gomez; and Jacob and Erica Martinez.
Richard is a forklift operator at Michael’s Warehouse in Haslet. Ethel is a CBA attendant for IntegraCare Home Health.

The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Chico High School. She is a sophomore at Texas Woman’s University where she is pursuing a degree in physical therapy.
The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of Chico High School. He attends EMT School in Weatherford where he is working to obtain certification as a fireman.

Maxwell - Frank and Sue Maxwell
Fiftieth wedding anniversary June 28, 2007
Frank and Sue Maxwell of Greenwood will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at 2 p.m. June 23 at the Family LIfe Center at First Baptist Church in Decatur. The family requests no gifts.
Frank Maxwell and the former Sue Underwood were married June 28, 1957, at the home of her parents, the late Ross and Hazel Schleigh, in Denton.
The couple has two children, Kevin Maxwell and Melissa Wilson and husband, Randy, all of Greenwood; and three grandchildrem, J.J., Ashley and Chance Wilson, all of Greenwood.
Frank retired from Bell Helicopter after 10 1/2 years and as a dairyman after 48 years. Sue retired as postmaster of Greenwood after 37 years.
He is a deacon at First Baptist Church in Decatur. She is a member of the choir at First Baptist Church. They are both a part of the church’s Wednesday Night Meal Ministry. They owned Greenwood Grocery for seven years. They continue to run their farm and ranch in Greenwood.

The bride is a private school graduate and is a licensed massage therapist. She is employed by Melody Massage in Decatur.
The groom also graduated from a private school. He is self-employed.
Following a wedding trip to Lewisville and New York City, the couple reside in Decatur.

The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Pam Goodwyn and the granddaughter of Bobby and Raynette Wilson, all of Decatur.
The groom is the son of Dean and Maria Miller and the grandson of Maria Flores, all of San Antonio.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless gown with a dropped waist and chapel-length train. It featured a wide, beaded sash that flowed down the train. She carried a bouquet of green orchids.
Matron of honor was Jessica Sicking of Lubbock and maid of honor was Claire Goodwyn of Decatur, both sisters of the bride. Bridesmatrons were Ashly Berry and Ryan Brown, both of Decatur.
Honor attendants wore tea-length halter dresses in coral satin and chiffon. They carried white orchids and also wore them in their hair.
Best man was Kelly Miller of Kaneohe, Hawaii, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Ashley Brown of Decatur and Jeff Sicking of Lubbock, brother-in-law of the bride.
Soloist was RozlynWurtz of San Antonio, sister of the groom.
A reception hosted by the bride’s parents followed the ceremony on the beach.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Decatur High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Texas Tech University in 2005. She is a nurse at University Medical Center in Lubbock and will begin studying for a master of science degree in the nurse practitioner program at Tech this fall.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Clark High School in San Antonio and graduated from Texas Tech in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. He is a registered nurse in the surgical intensive care unit at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

T.A. and Bonnie Moss of Decatur will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 26 at their home.
T.A. Moss and the former Bonnie Tucker were married Aug. 26, 1957, in Henrietta.
They have seven children, Deanna Melson, Danny Grant, Gladys Smith, Patricia Billington and Katherine Buggar, all of Decatur, Deborah Franklin of Boonsville and Sarah Wise of Sunset; 21 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
T.A. retired from the county and Bonnie retired from Lorch sewing factory. They are both members of Family Worship Center.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Trinity High School. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and attended the Police Academy at the University of Texas at Austin. He is employed at a police officer for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Billy Munn and the former Shirley Smith were married Aug. 17, 1957, in Ardmore, Okla.
They have one son, Brett Munn and wife, Monica, of Paradise; a daughter, Amy Galley and husband, Matt, of Dallas; and three granddaughters, Angela and Felica Munn and Berlin Galley.
Billy retired from Bridgeport post office where he was a clerk for 35 years. Shirley retired from the Bridgeport Public Library where she was an assistant librarian. She is a realtor for Keller Williams Realty.
The family requests no gifts.

Charles Wayne and Carolyn Nix celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with an Alaskan cruise and tour with family members Gloria Evans and Sylvia Hicks.
Charles Wayne Nix and the former Carolyn Sue George were married on Aug. 9, 1957, by the Rev. Cletus Beights at the home of the bride’s parents in Midland.
They have three daughters, Linda Johnson and husband, Randy, of Keller, Anne Wilkinson and husband, Randy, of Fort Worth, and Gloria Spainhour and husband, Rob, of Lindale; and four grandchildren.
Charles is a retired Delta Airlines pilot and a member of VFW Post 10374. Carolyn is a member of the Rhome Women’s Club and volunteers at the Boyd Food Bank. They are members of the First United Methodist Church in Boyd.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless, princess style gown in ivory. It featured beaded shiffli lace over satin with pearl accents and extended to a semi-cathedral-length train. Her headpiece was an elbow-length veil with a blusher and pearl accents. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of cream Calla lilies, green dendrobium orchids with accents of coffee beans and looped bear grass.
Matron of honor was Stephanie Hughes of Round Rock, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Jill Summers of Nashville, Tenn., sister-in-law of the bride, Christin Hayurst of Felt, Idaho, Marianne Gibson of Taylor, Alicia Gage of Little Elm, Jennifer Boland of Fort Worth, Karen DuBroc of The Woodlands, Michelle Ellis of Stephenville, Jocelyn Gonzales of Arlington and Kasey Pounds of Grand Prairie.
Honor attendants wore strapless satin cocktail-length dresses in espresso that featured a fitted bodice accented with pleats and A-line skirts.
They carried hand-tied bouquets of Leonidas and green roses accented with coffee beans and looped bear grass.
Best man was Richard Ogden of Lantana, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were Stephen Summers of Nashville, brother of the bride, David Touwsma, Chad Moody, Jason Byars, Matt Russell, Bird Blitch and Alan Kennedy, all of Atlanta, Ga., Matt Boltin of Marietta, Ga., and Steven Shillcutt of Woodstock, Ga.

Bridesmaids were Lauren Gallander of Liberty Hill, Andrea Fergel of Tucson, Jean Worthen of Bridgeport, sister-in-law of the bride, and Samantha Ottinger of Allentown, Penn., sister of the groom. Honor attendants wore floor-length gowns with halter necklines in clover.
Flower girls were Rylee Bolin of Fort Worth, cousin of the bride, and Olivia Frounfelker of North East, Mass., cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Cody Ottinger of Evansville, Ind., nephew of the groom.
Candlelighter was Tyler Hamblin of Bridgeport, nephew of the bride.

Herman Odell and Kaleta May Pryor celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary July 22 at the home of their son, Larry Pryor.
Herman Pryor and the former Kaleta Simpson were married July 19, 1947, by the justice of the peace in Detroit, Texas.
They have eight children, 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
Herman worked at McCoin Sawmill, the Coke plant, Dye Trucking and B.K. Kennedy Trucking until his retirement. Kaleta worked at Lorch Westway, Jewels and Al’s Cafe, and provided home daycare and volunteered for the PRC.
They are members of the former Bell Baptist Church that is now Lifehouse Church in Decatur. They moved from Dallas to Wise County in 1962.

Escorted by her mother, the bride wore a white gown of lace over satin. The bodice had a V-neck halter and the skirt had a mermaid silhouette. The gown was adorned with crystal beads and sequins and had a semi-cathedral-length train. Her headpiece was a two-tier elbow-length veil with corded edges. She carried a bouquet of Stargazer lilies and starfire roses.
Matron of honor was Sherri Harding of Bryan. Bridesmaid was Christian Staley of Fort Worth, niece of the groom. They wore sleeveless ball gowns in apple with envelope backs that featured embroidery. They carried bouquets of Stargazer lilies.
Candlelighters were Rebeckah Staley and Mercy Staley, both of Decatur and nieces of the groom. They wore embroidered taffeta halter tops with beaded trim and tea-length skirts in apple. They wore wrist corsages of starfire roses.
Groomsmen were Thomas Staley and Joseph Staley, both of Decatur, and John Shaw of Carrollton, all nephews of the groom. John also served as the usher.

Nannette Woodruff Simmons and Kevin Williams, both of Denton, were married Feb. 10, 2007, at the First United Methodist Church in Decatur. The Rev. Thomas O. Brumett officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of W.B. and Mary Louise Woodruff of Decatur.
The groom is the son of Kay and Tressa Williams of Denton.
The bride wore a burgundy duchess satin, Carmen Colletti original gown featuring a sweetheart bodice with lace overlay, 3/4-length bell sleeves and crystal beading. The back featured a lace peplum flounce, satin bow and court train.
Maid of honor was Brittney Williams of Denton, daughter of the groom.
Best man was Aaron Williams of Denton, son of the groom.
Ushers were John Fergus, Dan Hughes, John Kozura and Chris Woodruff.
A scripture reading was given by Tim Woodruff, brother of the bride.
Music was provided by pianist Karen Forbis of Decatur and vocalists Sandra Little and Martin Woodruff, brother of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall given by Nola Woodruff of Decatur, sister of the bride.

Ashley Michelle Morgan and Joshua James Wilson, both of Greenwood, were married May 19, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Slidell. Matthew Weathers, cousin of the groom, performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Danny and Vickie Gray and Michael and Stacy Morgan, all of Wichita Falls.
The groom is the son of Randy and Melissa Wilson of Greenwood.
Escorted by her father and stepfather, the bride wore a white satin gown with blue accents and carried a bouquet of white and pink cala lilies.
Maid of honor was Ginger Steger of Wichita Falls. Bridesmaids were Alisha McKissack of Aubrey, Leila Cole of Red Oak and Courtney Cole of Greenwood, cousin of the bride. The maid of honor wore a strapless satin gown in chocolate brown with pickup detail on the skirt and a blue accent at the waist. Bridesmaids wore halter-top satin gowns in blue with pickup detail on the back of the skirts and chocolate brown accents at the waists.
Flower girls were Bailey and Maddie Meyer, daughters of Jimmy and Shannon Meyer of Slidell, cousins of the groom. Ringbearer was Russell Morgan of Tuttle, Okla., nephew of the bride.
Best man was Chance Wilson of Greenwood, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Cody Wilson of Lewisville, cousin of the groom, Alan Alberry of Keller and Michael Morgan of Tuttle, brother of the bride. Groomsmen also served as ushers.
Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted by the groom’s parents at Flying C Ranch in Slidell.

The prospective groom is a 2000 graduate of Decatur High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree in ocean engineering from Texas A&M in May 2005. In college, he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and served as his chapter’s president. He is a weapons officer for the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Warrior stationed in Corpus Christi. He is a former member of the Society of Naval Architects and Mechanical Engineers and is a member of the Church of Christ.
