The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Decatur High School and plans to graduate from Texas Woman’s University in the fall of 2009 with a degree in elementary education.
The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Decatur High School and is self employed in metal construction.

Melvin Meadows and the former Jannie Lou Moody were married June 20, 1958, in Paradise.They have three children, Deloris Martin and husband, Davis, Marsha Foster and husband, Jay, and Todd Meadows and wife, Robin, all of Paradise, and nine grandchildren, Brad Martin and wife, Jennifer of New Braunfels, Jana Hamby and husband, Travis, of Justin, Jerod Foster of Lubbock, Hayley Rife and husband, Adam, of Irving and Seth Foster and Dalton, Dillon, Danae and Dustin Meadows, all of Paradise.Melvin and Jannie own and operate Meadows Ranch in Cottondale. The bride is the daughter of Joel and Kathryn Nordman of Bridgeport.The groom is the son of Joseph and Margaret Mechinus of San Antonio.Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory, strapless tea-length gown with a lace overlay. The empire waist was accented with a satin sash and back bow. She wore an ivory shoulder-length veil with floral lace embroidery and her shoes were silk sling-backs with floral beaded accents. She wore heirloom pearls that were her grandmothers and are now her mothers. She carried a cascading hand-tied bouquet of white tulips and hydrangeas.Maids of honor were Laura and Robin Nordman of Bridgeport, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Caroline Mattis of Abilene, cousin of the bride, Hayley Webb of Washington, D.C., Brittany Barnes of Plano and Christie Thomas of Abilene. Honor attendants wore brown strapless taffeta knee-length dresses with a bubble hem and sash. They carried bouquets of white roses tipped with teal and tied with teal ribbon. Best man was Jake Roseberry of Dallas. Groomsmen were Michael Hicks of Dallas, Jody Garner of Mt. Pleasant, Randal Jones of Austin and Russ Guild of Dallas. Ushers were Jordan Gay of Lubbock, Luke Reeves of Abilene and Chet Selz of Arlington.Julie Ritchie of Haslet, cousin of the bride, was the guestbook attendant. Katelyn Meurer, niece of the groom, and Kylie Cole passed out bubbles. A reception hosted by the bride's parents was held at the church following the ceremony. The bride is a 2004 graduate of Bridgeport High School and a 2008 graduate of Abilene Christian University. She is employed with David Yurman Jewelers in Austin. Harold and Willadene Mosley of Decatur celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family at a dinner and a national volleyball tournament where their granddaughter was playing.
Harold Mosley and the former Willadene Scaff were married April 6, 1958, by Raymond W. Dunn in Decatur.
They have one son, Mark Mosley and wife, Jean Carol, of Coppell; and two granddaughters, Claire and Meredith.
Harold is employed by North Texas Plastics and Willadene retired from the Wise County clerk's office where she worked for 27 years.

Jose and Beverly Perez of Lake Buchanan, formerly of Boyd, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a wedding mass and reception in Kingsland.
Jose Alonzo Perez and the former Beverly Jean Peterson were married Feb. 16, 1958, in San Capistrano, Calif. They have five children, Ed Perez and wife, Sylvia, of Las Cruces, N.M., Dan Perez and wife, Aine, and Kim Vaughn and husband, Matthew, all of New Rochelle, N.Y., Teresa Cook and husband, Phil, of Longview, and Sonya Jett and husband, Chuck, of Georgetown; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
The couple served their country at El Toro Marine Corps Air Station in California where Jose was an air traffic controller and Beverly was an aerologist. Upon completing their service, Beverly was a housewife and Joe worked for the Federal Aviation Administration.

The dress was trimmed with purple at the top and bottom. The bodice featured jeweled beading and purple embroidery. The headpiece was white feathers and purple wire accented with jewels and ribbon made by her mother. She wore her grandmother's diamond earrings, white rhinestone sunglasses and a purple jeweled garter adorned with the initials of her college alma mater, Tarleton State University .She carried a bouquet of white lilies, roses and orchids trimmed with purple ribbon.Matron of honor was Ashley Hanks of Perrin. Junior bridesmaid was Alexus Wood of Bridgeport. Honor attendants wore strapless purple satin tea-length dresses with lime accents. Ray and Brenda Rankin celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Oct. 31. Their children hosted a celebration dinner at the couple's Chico home on Saturday, Oct. 25. The family also celebrated the occasion with a fishing trip to Alaska during the summer.
Ray and Brenda were married Oct. 31, 1958, in Ardmore, Okla.The couple has four children, David Rankin and wife, Julie, of Plano, Debbie Fuller and husband, Rusty, of Midland, Mark Rankin and wife, Helen, of Bridgeport and Kim Gideon of North Richland Hills; and eight grandchildren.

Sonny retired from Bell Helicopter. Exsa retired from Thompson Insurance Agency in Keller. They are members of the First Baptist Church in Forestburg.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Michelangelo white, satin strapless A-line gown with a lace overlay covering the bodice, skirt and the train, accented with beads and crystals. She wore a shoulder length veil accented with pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses, white hydrangeas and hypernicum berries.
Maid of honor was Kati Gilliam of Lubbock. Bridesmaids were Jana Hamby of Justin, cousin of the bride, Leah Mervyn of Arlington, cousin of the bride, and Jennifer Richter of San Antonio.
The attendants wore clover green strapless A-line gowns with a sweetheart neckline and a crisscross back. They carried bouquets of white hydrangeas.
Flower girl was Danae Meadows of Paradise, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Jason Rife of Durham, N.C., brother of the groom.
