The bride is the daughter of Jo Gentry and the granddaughter of Willard and Frances Gentry of Cottondale. The groom is the son of Kevin and Clover Alexander of Boyd and grandson of Richard and Teresa Ford of Hurst.Maid of honor was Leah Brown, and bridesmaid was Alexa Meadows, both of Paradise. Junior bridesmaids were Ali Fowler, sister of the bride; Haleigh Maxwell and Jordan Shetter, nieces of the bride; and Baleigh Alexander, sister of the groom.Flower girl was Bethany Alexander, sister of the groom, and ring bearer was Bryce Shetter, nephew of the bride.Best man was Phillip Pierce, and groomsman was Dylan Yarbrough. Walt and the former Geraldine Berg were married Dec. 17, 1960, in Decatur.They have four children, Nelson Amonett of Rockport, Ga., Nacina Cryer of Decatur, Lorenda Hornsby of Chico and Roxanna Shivers of Celina; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Walt retired from Bridgeport Super Save, Pat's Trucking and Walmart. Geraldine retired from Decatur Indepentent School District. They are members of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Bill Askey and the former Joyce Phillips were married April 1, 1960, in Decatur.They have two children, Phillip Askey and wife, Rebecca, of Saltillo, Mexico, and Phyllis Jordan and husband, Gary, of Rainbow; and three granchildren, Krista and Kayla Askey and Austin Jordan.Bill is retired from TU Electric and Joyce is retired from Centel Telephone. They are members of First Baptist Church in Decatur and Joyce is in the Wise Regional Health System Auxillary.The family requests no gifts.

Donna and Charles Baggett of Decatur (formerly of Fort Worth) celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary Saturday, Aug. 7, at their home north of Decatur. A come-and-go reception and house warming was hosted by their daughter and son-in-law, Kesia and Ken Harlan.
Charles Baggett and the former Donna Wissel were married Feb. 21, 1959, in Tucson, Ariz.They also have a son, John Baggett and wife, Nickie, of Haltom City; and a grandson, Dakota Baggett, and granddaughter, Kacie Harlan.Charles served in the Air Force from 1956 to 1968 and is a member of the Ramey AFB Historical Society. He was a maintenance electrician for Tarrant County College NW Campus from 1975 until he retired in 2002. Donna worked as a custodian there from 1987 until retiring in 2005. They are members of Lighthouse Fellowship Methodist Church in Lake Worth.Prior to their anniversary, they took a trip to Tucson in 2008.

He is a lieutenant junior grade naval aviator in the U.S. Navy.

The bride is the daughter of Carl and Melva Henderson of Bridgeport and the granddaughter of Jean Bush of Bridgeport and Wanda Henderson of Tucson.The groom is the son of Louis and Mary Funk of Austin and Richard and Susan Baker of The Woodlands. He is the grandson of Henry and Mary Landry of Jacksonville, Fla., Leander and Mae Sukup of Leander, Carolyn Baker of Dickinson and Shirley Taylor of Austin.Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white French taffeta gown with corseted back. The ruched stand-away bodice was adorned with lace, Swarovski crystals, pearls, bugle beads, seed beads and sequins and was accented with a ribbon at the empire waist. The fitted silhouette extended into a flared skirt with voluminous godet panels.She carried a bouquet of white tulips, ranunculus, Gerber daises, Calla lilies and hydrangea hand-tied with black satin ribbon and adorned with her grandmother's blue jeweled broach. Bridesmaids were Danielle Tietze and Sunni McAsey, both of Houston, Rebeckah Primera of Odessa and sisters of the bride, Carly Patton of Grand Prairie and Kelley Henderson of Lubbock. They wore black cocktail-length dresses and carried white bouquets in a single variety of flower from the bride's bouquet.Trevor Patton of Grand Prairie, nephew of the bride, carried a family Bible into the ceremony.Groomsmen were Harrison Baker of The Woodlands and Nathaniel Funk of Austin, brothers of the groom, Cody Brown of San Marcos, Daniel Wetzel of Camp Lejune, N.C., and Thompson Graves of New Bern, N.C. Honorary groomsman was Shaun Miller of Austin.Ushers were Colter Henderson of Lubbock, brother of the groom, Derek Nelms of Tomball, Patrick Layton of Virginia Beach and Jarod Cady of Canberra, Australia.A reception hosted by the parents of the bride and Louis and Mary Funk followed the ceremony at Old Red Museum.The bride is a 2002 graduate of Bridgeport High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University in 2006 and a doctorate of pharmacy in 2010 from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She is employed by Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters in Norfolk, Va.The groom is a 2002 graduate of Bowie High School in Austin. He earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial distribution from Texas A&M in 2006. He is employed by the U.S. Navy and is stationed in Oceana, Va.The couple is planning a honeymoon trip for their first anniversary, pending the groom's military orders. They live in Chesapeake.

The couple have two sons, six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.The couple met when their parents worked at Consolidated Vultee aircraft plant in White Settlement (now Lockeed), and their families lived at Liberator Village Apartments.A Bridgeport native, Frances is the daughter of the late Frank and Grace Still. James was born in Brownwood.James retired from U.S. General Services Administration as director of business services in the Fort Worth regional office in 1985. He served with the military in Korea and is a retired Air Force Reservist. He is a licensed minister and associate pastor at Living Waters Fellowship Church in Chico.Frances is a pianist at the church. She retired from Clark's Precision Machine Company in Azle.The couple enjoys traveling.

Bennie and Barbara King of Decatur celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 3, 2010.
Bennie and Barbara Jean Pounds were married by the Rev. Raymond Corrigan June 3, 1960, at the First United Methodist Church in Decatur.The couple have two sons, Randall W. King and wife, Lisa, of Plano and Gregory B. King of Lewisville. They have a grandson, Ryan King of Plano.Bennie was a coach, teacher and school administrator, and Barbara was a teacher. The couple taught in Alvord for 15 years and Trinidad for 15 years, retiring in 1991.Bennie raises cattle. Barbara gardens and plays the piano at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, where they are members.The couple celebrated their anniversary with a barbecue dinner June 5, at the church's fellowship hall.

The bride elect is the granddaughter of Bob and Nelda Wadsworth of Decatur. She is a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M University and is employed by Chesapeake.The prospective groom is a 2003 graduate of University of Idaho and is a right of way agent for Lone Star.

Alex Michel Pierce of Aledo and Charles Jordan Kramer of Parma, Idaho, were married April 10, 2010, at Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth with Dr. Ted Kitchens officiating the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Rhonda Pierce of Aledo and the granddaughter of Bob and Nelda Wadsworth of Decatur.The groom is the son of Jerry and Edwina Kramer of Boise, Idaho.The bride was escorted by her father.Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Oak Room at City Club in Fort Worth.The bride is a 2004 graduate of Aledo High School and a 2008 graduate of Texas A&M University.The groom is a 1999 graduate of Parma High School in Parma. He is a 2003 graduate of the University of Idaho.Following a two-week honeymoon to Hawaii, the couple live in Fort Worth.

Adriana Blair Cohen and Matthew Wiley Lindsey, both of Fayetteville, Ark., were married Dec. 19, 2009, at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas. The Rev. Ronald Wesley Scates officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Louis Jay and Bonnie Cohen of Corpus Christi.The groom is the son of Gary Vaughn and Cheryl Lindsey of Dallas and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Eural Clint Wiley of Decatur.Escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin-faced silk chiffon gown whose bodice was hand-tufted. Her headpiece was a cage veil. Her jewelry included family heirlooms and a diamond necklace, loaned by her cousin, worn as a hairpiece. She carried a handkerchief used by many generations of brides in her family and a bouquet of antique green and purple-tipped hydrangeas.Maid of honor was Meagan Roberts Land of Corpus Christi. Bridesmaids were Audrey Elizabeth Lindsey, Ellen Claire Lindsey and Mary Catherine Lindsey, sisters of the groom, and Elizabeth Ball Jones, all of Dallas, and Lacy Hix Green of Austin.They wore individually-styled navy gowns and carried bouquets of baby's breath.Best man was Bradley William Roberts of Dallas. Groomsmen were Bradford Clay Petty, John Trey Jones and Grant Tyler Brodeur, all of Dallas, Tyler Babson Anderson of Steamboat Springs, Colo., and William Scott Pyle of Tulsa, Okla.Ushers were Patrick Maury McCown and Colton Wayne Sanders, both of Austin, William Alexander Inman, George Frederick Baker, both of Dallas, and Cullen Francis Goodman of Corpus Christi, cousin of the bride, and Harvey Charles Weil Jr., cousin of the bride, of San Antonio.A reception was hosted by the bride's parents at the Stoneleigh Hotel. Servers were Katie Cook Romano of Washington D.C., Lauren Lipscomb Inman and Lorraine Wallace Holland, both of Dallas, Haley Plechter Bennett of Corpus Christi and Sarah Armstrong Jones of Hebbronville.The bride is a graduate of W.B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi and attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She will graduate from the University of Arkansas school of law in Fayetteville in May.The groom is a graduate of Highland Park High School in Dallas and the University of Texas at Dallas. He is a third-year law student at the University of Arkansas.Following a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, the couple reside in Fayetteville.
