Frances Gentry of Cottondale. The groom is the son of Kevin and Clover Alexander
of Boyd and grandson of Richard and Teresa Ford of Hurst.Maid of honor was Leah

Walt and the former Geraldine Berg were married Dec. 17, 1960, in Decatur.They
have four children, Nelson Amonett of Rockport, Ga., Nacina Cryer of Decatur,
Lorenda Hornsby of Chico and Roxanna Shivers of Celina; 12 grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.Walt retired from Bridgeport Super Save, Pat's Trucking and
Walmart. Geraldine retired from Decatur Indepentent School District. They are
members of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Bill Askey and the former Joyce Phillips were married April 1, 1960, in
Decatur.They have two children, Phillip Askey and wife, Rebecca, of Saltillo,
Mexico, and Phyllis Jordan and husband, Gary, of Rainbow; and three granchildren,
Krista and Kayla Askey and Austin Jordan.Bill is retired from TU Electric and
Joyce is retired from Centel Telephone. They are members of First Baptist Church
in Decatur and Joyce is in the Wise Regional Health System Auxillary.The family

Donna and Charles Baggett of Decatur (formerly of Fort Worth) celebrated their
51st wedding anniversary Saturday, Aug. 7, at their home north of Decatur. A
come-and-go reception and house warming was hosted by their daughter and
son-in-law, Kesia and Ken Harlan.
Charles Baggett and the former Donna Wissel were married Feb. 21, 1959, in
Tucson, Ariz.They also have a son, John Baggett and wife, Nickie, of Haltom
City; and a grandson, Dakota Baggett, and granddaughter, Kacie Harlan.Charles
served in the Air Force from 1956 to 1968 and is a member of the Ramey AFB
Historical Society. He was a maintenance electrician for Tarrant County College
NW Campus from 1975 until he retired in 2002. Donna worked as a custodian there
from 1987 until retiring in 2005. They are members of Lighthouse Fellowship
Methodist Church in Lake Worth.Prior to their anniversary, they took a trip to
Tucson in 2008.

Austin and graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor of science in industrial
distribution in 2006. He is a lieutenant junior grade naval aviator in the U.S.

The bride is the daughter of Carl and Melva Henderson of Bridgeport and the
granddaughter of Jean Bush of Bridgeport and Wanda Henderson of Tucson.The groom
is the son of Louis and Mary Funk of Austin and Richard and Susan Baker of The
Woodlands. He is the grandson of Henry and Mary Landry of Jacksonville, Fla.,
Leander and Mae Sukup of Leander, Carolyn Baker of Dickinson and Shirley Taylor
of Austin.Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white French taffeta gown
with corseted back. The ruched stand-away bodice was adorned with lace,
Swarovski crystals, pearls, bugle beads, seed beads and sequins and was accented
with a ribbon at the empire waist. The fitted silhouette extended into a flared
skirt with voluminous godet panels.She carried a bouquet of white tulips,
ranunculus, Gerber daises, Calla lilies and hydrangea hand-tied with black satin
ribbon and adorned with her grandmother's blue jeweled broach. Bridesmaids were
Danielle Tietze and Sunni McAsey, both of Houston, Rebeckah Primera of Odessa
and sisters of the bride, Carly Patton of Grand Prairie and Kelley Henderson of
Lubbock. They wore black cocktail-length dresses and carried white bouquets in a

Services Administration as director of business services in the Fort Worth
regional office in 1985. He served with the military in Korea and is a retired

Bennie and Barbara King of Decatur celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary
June 3, 2010.
Bennie and Barbara Jean Pounds were married by the Rev. Raymond Corrigan June 3,
1960, at the First United Methodist Church in Decatur.The couple have two sons,
Randall W. King and wife, Lisa, of Plano and Gregory B. King of Lewisville. They
have a grandson, Ryan King of Plano.Bennie was a coach, teacher and school
administrator, and Barbara was a teacher. The couple taught in Alvord for 15
years and Trinidad for 15 years, retiring in 1991.Bennie raises cattle. Barbara
gardens and plays the piano at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, where they are
members.The couple celebrated their anniversary with a barbecue dinner June 5,
at the church's fellowship hall.

The bride is the daughter of Louis Jay and Bonnie Cohen of Corpus Christi.The
groom is the son of Gary Vaughn and Cheryl Lindsey of Dallas and the grandson of
Mr. and Mrs. Eural Clint Wiley of Decatur.Escorted by her father, the bride wore
a satin-faced silk chiffon gown whose bodice was hand-tufted. Her headpiece was
a cage veil. Her jewelry included family heirlooms and a diamond necklace,
loaned by her cousin, worn as a hairpiece. She carried a handkerchief used by
many generations of brides in her family and a bouquet of antique green and
purple-tipped hydrangeas.Maid of honor was Meagan Roberts Land of Corpus
Christi. Bridesmaids were Audrey Elizabeth Lindsey, Ellen Claire Lindsey and
Mary Catherine Lindsey, sisters of the groom, and Elizabeth Ball Jones, all of
