Bobby and Diane Barron of Boyd celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on
April 1, 2017, at the Prairie House in Aubrey with a dinner party.
Bobby married Diane Enis March 25, 1967, in Greenwood.
They renewed their vows as part of their 50th celebration with their son-in-law
performing the ceremony. Their son escorted Diane down the aisle, and their
great-grandson, Cale, served as ringbearer.
Bobby has worked at Bell Helicopter for 51 years and plans to retire in
September.
The couple has two children. Son Rickey Barron and wife, Kim, live in Nevada,
Texas, and daughter Nicole Eminger and husband, Mike, live in Amarillo.
Grandchildren are Jeff Barron and wife, Chelsey; Corey Barron; Ryan Scobee and
wife, Presli; and Brendon Eminger. Great-grandsons are Cale and Henry Barron.
The Barrons enjoy traveling to visit their grandchildren and attend their
sporting events and activities.

Friday, Feb. 17.
Richard Brown married Sandra Lou Lipstreu at First Methodist Church in Boyd on
Feb. 17, 1967.
The couple has two children: Donny Brown of Springtown; and Barry Brown of Boyd.
They also have three grandchildren.
Richard is self-employed and Sandy is a retired banker.

married Jeremy Beau Byrom of Bridgeport, son of Jeff and Jana Bramlett of Haltom
City, Oct. 14, 2017, at the Decatur Visitors Center.
Stephen Ryan Hooe, brother of the bride, officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a sweetheart tulle wedding dress
with a pearl and rhinestone accented satin sash. Her bouquet was purple and gray
roses with an accent of various purple flowers and greenery.
The maids of honor were Angela Williams and Ava and Kate Byrom. They wore dark
purple dresses and carried purple and gray flowers.
The flowergirl was Arianna Hooe, and the ringbearer was Kayson Hooe, both
children of Michael and Keesha Hooe.
Best man was Carter Siddoway, son of the bride.
The newly married couple hosted a reception at the visitors center following the
ceremony.
For their honeymoon, they took a seven-day Caribbean cruise.
The bride graduated from Decatur High School in 2005. She works for Twisted X
Boots.
The groom graduated from Haltom High School in 2005. In 2010, he received a
bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of North Texas. He is a
production manager at Clarus Glassboards.
The couple plan to live in Bridgeport.

Ken and Joelle Cannon of Decatur will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary
Jan. 27, 2017.
Ken married Joelle Cloyd Jan. 27, 1967, in Alva, Okla.
The couple has two sons, Wesley Cannon of Decatur and David Cannon of Conroe;
and five grandchildren.
Ken founded Cannon Roofing in 1995. Semi-retired, he is an elder at Trinity
Fellowship.
Joelle is a retired accountant for University of North Texas. She volunteers at
MTC Women’s Facility in Bridgeport where she teaches sewing classes. Her
students use their skills to provide Moses baskets that are donated to Wise
Choices in Decatur and Bowie Pregnancy Center. Crocheted items are also given to
Wise Health System.
To celebrate their anniversary, their sons are sending the couple on a tour of
Israel.

Coy married Linda Howard on June 8, 1962. They met on the Decatur square in
February 1960. He was driving a 1956 Ford (pictured above).
The couple has two children, Sherri Vincent of Decatur and Carlin Ashton of
Frisco. They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The Clevelands are farmers and members of Cottondale Church of Christ.

Ronald is retired from Hubbard Construction and from farming. Linda is a

She wore a full-length, white dress with a train and shrug that had beads and
lace. Her veil was hip-length, and she carried burgundy, white and red flowers.
Matron of honor was Charity Dull of Beardon, Ark., a friend from college.
Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Prudeohl of St. Charles, Minn., and Hannah Grabanski
of Kennett, Mo., both college friends.
The bride’s attendants wore dusty-rose dresses and tan shrugs. They carried
flowers similar to, but smaller than, the bride’s bouquet.
The flower girl was Katelyn Solis, daughter of Ryan and Makaylah Solis of
Jacksonville, Ark. Ringbearer was Nathan Black, son of Kevin and Sarah Black of
Fulton, Kan.
The groom’s best man was his brother-in-law, Kevin Black, of Fulton. Groomsmen
included the groom’s cousin, Levi Stevicks of Kansas and friend Andrew
Colishaw of Kansas.
The bride’s brother, Andrew Brooks of Alvord and a friend, Michael Spears of
Kansas served as ushers.

bachelor’s degree in human relations in 2015 and a master’s in adult and
higher education in 2017, both from the University of Oklahoma. She works for
University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.
The groom graduated from Jenks High School in Tulsa. He received a bachelor’s
degree in architecture from OU in 2015. He works for Mass Architects Inc. in
Oklahoma City.
