Chico Cemetery is south of the town of Chico in the northwest part of Wise County. It's on Business Hwy 101 and CR 1540 runs through the cemetery between the two older sections and the new section.
At the time of our survey
in June of 2000 there were 2192 headstones.
These last 2 pictures show part of section 3 as it was in 2000. There are many
more headstones in this section now. The cemetery needs to be updated.
On the rock post to the
north of CR 1540 or Bell-Adair Road is a sign that says:
